Book 3, Test 14

World History Book 3, Early Modern Times
Test 14
11/20/15

Write a history of the early heritage of the United States of America.  Include some of the following, with your own ideas and details:

Which ancient cultures did Americans adopt ideas from?  What medieval customs and beliefs were still important to them?  What innovations from the Rennaisance, the Enlightenment, and the Age of Discovery shaped their view of the world?

What experiences in early modern Europe led to new political, social, and religious ideas?

What sort of people came to the Americas to live, why did they do so, how did they do so, what nations did they come from, and what hardships did they face?  What successes did they achieve?

How were the early colonies organized, and why?  What led to the War of Independence, and with whom was it fought?  When was it fought, and how?

How were Americans organized after the war?  What government ideals were important?  How did America’s Founding Fathers (name and describe a few) view man, rights, class, law, and government?

Include names of people, battles, places tribes, colonies, states, documents, and/or groups.

Give me a brilliant, well-organized, insightful, informative two to five pages.  If you have time after, include illustrations or maps for extra credit.

Happy Thanksgiving!
